Do you accept insurance?
No. Because of the way holistic nutritionists are certified, etc., I do not accept insurance.
What is included in the free consultation?
In the free consultation, I will ask you a few questions to get an idea of what you’re looking to address with me. We will briefly discuss how I can help. You are welcome to ask questions! If it’s a good fit for both of us, we will schedule a new client session.
What does a regular appointment look like?
Your initial appointment will include a bit more Q&A than a typical appointment, but in a typical visit, we will go over goals from last time, any changes and updates to your health/stress/energy, and set new goals and/or troubleshoot issues you’ve been having.
What is the difference between a nutritionist, a registered dietician, and a holistic nutritionist?
Great question and one I have definitely asked myself!
A nutritionist is one who helps people improve their wellness by educating and helping create strategies for food, eating habits, and lifestyle choices. Nutritionists may work with a medical professional to help with a pre-diagnosed condition, but may not diagnose or treat clinical illnesses.
A holistic nutritionist is a nutritionist that also includes physical and chemical, mental and emotional, as well as spiritual and environmental aspects of one’s life to inform their recommendations. They approach wellness from a whole-person perspective.
A Registered Dietician (RD) is a state licensed, regulated medical professional who can diagnose and treat nutrition problems and clinical illnesses.
Do I have to answer the questionnaires?
Please do. By answering the questionnaires, you save us both time in your appointment. In order for me to create the best plan for you, I need a bit of time in advance to ensure I have the best resources available to us during your appointment. Ideally, questionnaires are completed at least 24 hours in advance.
